Concessions Operators Celebrated at 2nd Annual LAX Customer Experience Awards

Awards elevate service standards and highlight frontline employees

ASUR Airports celebrated the outstanding achievements of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) concessions workforce at the second annual Customer Experience Awards. The awards program recognizes employees who help bring LAX’s vision, where travelers can Expect the Exceptional, to life across every guest touchpoint.

More than 60 concessions team members, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) representatives, and key airport stakeholders attended this year’s event. Guests enjoyed breakfast, mocktails, a prize raffle, and an awards ceremony spotlighting excellence in hospitality, sales, and community involvement.

The Customer Experience Awards continue to elevate service standards and highlight the frontline employees whose work shapes the guest journey at LAX.

The Exceptionals Winners:

Sales Excellence – Retail: See’s Candies (Bradley West Gates) Recognized for the strongest year-over-year growth in Sales Per Enplanement within retail.

Sales Excellence – Food & Beverage: Einstein Bros. Bagels (Concord Collective) Awarded for the highest year-over-year increase in Sales Per Enplanement in the F&B category.

Sales Excellence – Travel Essentials: TMZ (WHSmith) Honored for achieving the largest year-over-year growth in Sales Per Enplanement within travel essentials.

Guest First Award: Burger King (LAX Fly Foods) Recognized for strong hospitality performance across mystery shops, service standards, and guest engagement.

Best Online Reputation: BeRelax Awarded for maintaining the highest average online rating among ASUR concessions at LAX.

Teamwork Award: Areas Recognized for outstanding collaboration and a 97% teamwork score across mystery shop evaluations.

Best Community Involvement: Hudson by Avolta Honored for meaningful community initiatives and charitable outreach.

Exceptional Leader Award: Johamy Cisneros – Starbucks (Areas) Recognized for leadership and commitment to service excellence within their team and operation.

Standard of Excellence Award: Marlu Prada – AllSaints (Hudson) Awarded for consistently delivering exceptional hospitality and achieving multiple 100% mystery shop scores.

Value in Action Award: Chick-fil-A (Concord Collective) Recognized for delivering strong guest value through a successful value meal program.

Quiet Impact Award: Pret A Manger (Back of House) (HMSHost) Honored for behind-the-scenes operational excellence supporting the overall guest experience.

In addition to the awards, several attendees also won raffle prizes for experience-based gifts as part of the celebration.
